Thank you for visiting Hi-Mist Farms, the home of Hi-Mist Labradors and Hi-Mist Morgan horses. We are dedicated to providing quality animals to the community and focus on breeding and raising Labrador Retreivers for companion, hunting and service dogs.
My name is Terri Hill, and I am the owner of Hi-Mist Morgan Horses and Hi-Mist Labradors. I am very passionate about animals and have had dogs and horses all of my adult life. I had my first litter of puppies after rescuing a pregnant Weimaraner. Once those puppies were born, it was love at first sight and I decided that breeding and raising dogs was my new passion. I had three AKC litters with my Weimaraner. Several years later, I decided to breed Labrador Retrievers because I had a soft spot for the breed and wanted to give people quality companionship, hunting, and service dogs. During my 30 years of experience as a dog groomer, I saw so many poorly bred dogs with terrible genetic issues and decided that I wanted to make a difference in the dog breeding world. I wanted to give people quality bred dogs that were meant to last. I started out working at a show barn and fell in love with the Morgan horses. I inherited the Hi-Mist name and started my own line of Morgan horses with my stud, DW Murphy's Law. I raised over 20 Morgan foals and loved every moment of it.
I have been breeding horses and dogs for over 20 years, and my goal is to give my clients a quality bred animal that will last. My Labradors are bred to have temperaments suitable for family life and service dogs while at the same time preserving the athletic hunting workability of the Labrador.
All of the breeding dogs that carry the Hi-Mist prefix as well as the studs used come with OFA certification, genetic health testing, and are temperament tested. Quality is a priority to me, and I want to give my clients a dog that will live the best life possible with minimal health issues.
I have been a professional dog groomer for many years and have worked with dozens of different dog breeds. I strive for customer satisfaction, and it makes the dog feel and look better too!

" Cooper has been a great addition to our family! He is very energetic, playful, and curious. Cooper is also attentive and confident. He is a fast learner, he is doing well in his basic obedience class and has been easy to train. We get so many compliments on how beautiful Cooper is. At 20 weeks old he now weighs 46 pounds! What a wonderful puppy we have!"
"Remy sits on a whistle and on a hand swipe. She lays down on a hand command. She stays on a hand command. She has great drive and loves to fetch on land and in the water. She has learned to use her nose to find the toy in deep cover. She goes out (back) on a hand command. She goes over left and right on a hand command. Swims fast and follows hand direction commands in the water. Can shoot over her with a dummy launcher and a 12 gauge. She is a very fast learner and is super positive and motivated. Couldn't be happier."
"Chloe has been a great dog for us. She is 4 1/2 months old and by far is the most advanced in the training department from any other dogs we have had in the past. We live in the city (which is pretty busy) and we already have her trained off the leash. Even with people, dogs, or cars going by, if we tell her to stay, she just sits and watches. She is a very energetic puppy, but she will settle down as soon as we ask her to. Our children were heart broken when our dog passed away last year (which was a great dog), so Chloe had some big shoe to fill. To say the least, she has done that and more. She is a great family dog. On walks, we noticed she has strong natural hunting instincts. We are always being told that she is one of the most beautiful labs they have seen, and we agree. She is going to be a large girl (already 44 lbs @ 4 1/2 months). We couldn't be happier."
“We got our first puppy in several years from Terri this past fall (2021) from Jolene’s litter. Eris has been one of the easiest puppies to raise, very willing to please and a very quick learner, already knows sit, lay down, stay, roll over, shake, drop, and come. She learns very quickly and is almost potty trained. We took her to a puppy pre-k class and the trainer loved working with her and using her for examples, and she passed with flying colors even with being the youngest puppy in the class by a month. Our vet has also been very impressed with her friendliness, willing to please, and overall health, going as far to say that Eris is one of the best made and well bred Lab puppies the vet has seen.
There is not one person, dog, cat, horse, or food that Eris does not like; she is an extremely friendly dog.
We are extremely pleased with Eris, and highly suggest getting puppies from Terri! From coming to visit the puppies and Jolene, to actual pick up day, and even checking in to see how things are going, Terri has been wonderful to work with and so have her wonderful Labradors. Thank you, Terri, and we’ll have to schedule a visit soon!”
“GOSH I LOVE THIS DOG!! I know I probably talk about her a little too much but I’m so proud of her. We signed up for our second dock diving event and she beat her personal best again!! She took 3rd in her heat and 4th overall. She is now sitting at 22’3. I’ll forever be grateful for this amazing little girl, thanks Terri Hill at Hi-Mist!”
